Two french engineering Grandes Ecoles:  Ecole des Mines de Paris and INSA de Lyon, associated  to the prestigious Tsinghua University in Beijing have opened in october 2006  a post- Master's programmes (Mastères Spécialisés, MS) in the area of  environment and sustainable management.

The Advanced Master's degree (Mastère Spécialisé, MS) is a high-level professional training course, accredited by the Conference of Grandes Ecoles. It allows young graduates (5 years of study after the baccalaureate) or working executives to acquire additional education provided by professors and practitioners closely connected to the realities of the industrial world.

 Objectives 

  • To give engineers a high-level managerial approach and an international perspective;
  • To provide in-depth knowledge in the interdisciplinary field of environment and sustainable development;
  • To teach methodologies that encourage a comprehensive approach to manage evolving complex systems;
  • To improve  the faculties of engineers to adapt themselves and carry on analysis in mutilple environments,as well as to implement  long-term planning;
  • To promote the integration of European ad Asian students in worldwide companies.

 

The organisation of these two training courses received support from the European Union through the Asia Link programme. In this context, it also includes as educational partners the University of Pennsylvania, the Vietnam National University in Ho Chi Minh City and the Krakow University of Science and Technology in Poland.
